Winery Description

Sassodisole winery is a family owned business. It is situated in a unique area within north-eastern side of Montalcino council and the Natural Artistic Park of Orcia’s Valley, which has recently been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The 8 ha vineyard is located 300 metres above sea level and it is south and south-west facing.
Our vineyard grows the native Sangiovese vine, which is grown using the spur-trained, cordoned method, following the authentic techniques and traditions of the Montalcino agronomic community in the organic way.
The Terzuoli family has always wanted to achieve the very best quality for its own products according to the key-principles of the Montalcino community. To this extent the family is proud to carry out a careful manual selection of grapes, before ageing in 3500-5000 litre Slavonia oak barrels.

Me and my family of farmers have always lived in Val d’Orcia. We personally take care of our vineyards with respect for the environment that our host, loving new knowledge and guarding handed down manual skills. We practice a precision viticulture, from which we obtain healthy and rich grapes transformed in the wine cellar in the most natural manner. Our own will is to product wines with a territorial nature where the weather trend is one of the most important distinctive characteristic.
