A Collection of Stories about Orcia Doc Wine

A Journey through the Stories told by Producers in Wineries of Orcia Wine

Thirteen stops, thirteen faces, thirteen stories, “Alla Scoperta dei volti Orcia doc” is a journey through an uncontaminated land between the Val d’Orcia , a UNESCO heritage site since 2004 and the Crete Senesi which led me to explore the wineries where “the most beautiful wine in the world”, Orcia Doc, is produced and to learn a lot of stories about the producers and their wine.

Before continuing I’d like to introduce myself and explain the meaning of this project and why I decided to undertake this pleasant experience. My name is Monica and I’m a 24 year old student in the final year of my university studies in Communication doing my first work experience offered by the Consortium Orcia. Thanks to this experience everything began and the reason why I started “sailing” in this sea of hills was the kindness of the producers who decided to welcome me into their wineries and tell me their stories.

The story telling is in a diary form, thirteen chapters. Each chapter a story of face of Orcia wine with the aim of creating a collection of stories about wine told by the producers themselves accompanied by photos taken with my Nikon during the visit. All the stories will end with a famous phrase that will contain the philosophy of the  winery as a way of distinguishing the different emotions each of them left me.

If  you  choose to follow me in this adventure I can only say “Have a good trip” to discover the face of Orcia wine. I hope I’ll be able to transmit even part of the sensations I experienced and get you interested in this authentic product, Bye for now, we’ll meet again with the first story.
