The Orcia wineries celebrate the summer season

Among the exciting landscapes of the “most beautiful wine in the world”, the Consorzio Orcia wine’s producers in collaboration with the Fisar Valdichiana, are waiting for “Orcia arcobaleno”, the collective toast that celebrates the beginning of the summer season.

Guests will tour into the vineyards where will be showed and explained the work made in this period. In the cellar we will taste our wines Doc Orcia: three different interpretations of Sangiovese. The dish that we offer is the Panzanella: stale Tuscan bread, flavored with tomatoes, cucumbers, onion and basil, in particular version of Antonella. In combination with the “Troccolone”, our Sangiovese Orcia made in amphorae. For this occasion there will be some “terracotta” works made by Piero Sbarluzzi, a local artist.

Trekking in the vineyards along the route marked in the farm. This route includes information panels that explain the cultivation and the peculiarities of the grape varieties. Tasting with our wines and “ciancifricola”, a bread soup made with tomato and egg, also called “Picchio Pacchio”.

Trekking in the Manella’s vineyard along the Via Francigena that links Val di Chiana to Val d’Orcia. Tasting with legumes and cereals soup with Cinta Senese crispy bacon matching with our Doc Orcia wines.

The trekking starts from Podere San Savino, located along Ripa d’Orcia street. Along the way you can see our vineyards close to Ripa d’Orcia village. Afterwards back to Podere San Savino for the tasting with our rosè wine “Riparosa” Doc Orcia and panzanella.
