The new website of the Consortium of Orcia Wine is online

A new graphic form to present Orcia wines and the fascinating territory where they are produced thanks to the project “Orcia, the most beautiful wine in the world”

The project “Orcia, the most beautiful wine in the world” realized with the contribution of Toscana Promozione is almost completed. So the Consortium modernizes itself with a new dynamic website, interactive and full of photographs, useful to getting to know the territory of production. The aim is to let people understand just how many opportunities exist in the area, setting them in a single circuit and including breathtaking scenery, unspoiled historic centers and ancient characteristic traditions which can be appreciated in the life style, handicrafts, food and wine.

The site as for the other promotional instruments of the project, (brochures and maps) has been realized by the agency BCPT Associati of Perugia. Experts in various fields have worked to develop the site and some photographs were offered by Eleonora Zamperini of Fotomania in San Quirico d’Orcia.

The site gives an idea of the enormous cultural wealth to be found in the area of production of Orcia wine, in fact there are specific articles about territory and tourism. Not only wine but also traditional recipes, local handcraft, proposals for holidays and the cities of art to visit to live a unique experience in the most beautiful countryside in the world.

Moreover the section “Wineries and Wine Tourism” offers a wide vision of producers’ properties. Each producer introduces himself within a personal space rich in photos which highlight the artisan aspect of wine and its close link to the local territory, the “terroir”. The wineries in the project have two absolutely new features for Italian wine tourism:

• WINERIES WITH A VIEW, that is quiet scenic spots indicated by panels, with explanations in two languages of what can be seen, and places to sit;
• WINE HIKING, that is hiker friendly wineries which offer shelter, water, use of the toilet and a local phone call in case of bad weather or extreme heat.

In short, thanks to this new site the Consortium strengthens the link between territory and Orcia wine…….we hope you all like it!! Good surfing!
