Calici di Stelle 10th August 2016 in Castiglione d’Orcia in the heart of Tuscany

Calici di Stelle in Val d’Orcia comes back with many events in the most beautiful countryside in the world. Among the protagonists: the great Orcia Doc wines, the concert of the “Leggera Electric Folk Band” and the “Maggiaioli”, pici cooking lesson, grilled pork, handicraft, children’s play area and more in the old town centre

In the magical night of August 10, Calici di Stelle will have the taste of the “most beautiful wine in the world”. It is the Orcia Doc wine. In the beautiful location of the Castiglione d’Orcia, it will be possible to have fun, eat and taste good typical dishes and Orcia Doc wines.

PROGRAMME

Waiting for Calici di Stelle: on Saturday 6^th August and Sunday 7^th August you will eat with the wine producers in the restaurants of Castiglione d’Orcia.

10^th August 2016

• From 5 p.m. the wine producers will be present with their Orcia doc wines in the tasting itinerary. There will be also handicraft, tasting of grilled pork and typical Tuscan crostini, pici lesson to learn how to roll out this kind of pasta with the local housewives, cooking show, entertainment for children and vintage Vespa and cars exhibition.
• At 6:30 p.m. Guided wine tasting with Onav Siena (Piazza Vecchietta).
• At 7 p.m. interactive book presentation “A cena con Babette” written by Giovanni Pellicci and Lorenzo Bianciardi, during which there will be typical finger food with a glass of Orcia Doc wine (Sala d’Arte).
• At 10 p.m. “Leggera Electric Folk band” in concert with the Choir of Minatori di Santa Fiora, a unique musical formation of its kind in Tuscany, combining the power of rock with the poetry of popular song (Piazza Unità d’Italia).
